The term pay, also known as compensation, is representative of the relationship between employees and their employer, the organization. There is a symbiotic relationship between the two, where each of them gives something in exchange for something else. The employee gives their time, skills, qualifications and effort in exchange for monetary and non-monetary compensation from the employer.
