Cultural Plunge: Analyzing the Film: “Sweet Country” (2018)

Sweet Country (2018) is an indigenous-oriented film set in a period in 1929 in the Northern Territory Frontier Australia, during a period when justice is put on trial. The film is set in Western Australia in the 1920s, during a time when there us a lot of space in the Northern Frontier in which its events are set. The film showcases a sparsely populated Northern Territory, retelling a harsh story against the backdrop of a divided society as the European settlers displace the Aboriginal Australians during the interwar period in Australia.
