The E-scooter Share Pilot Project in Chicago City

In 2019, you initiated a four-month e-scooter pilot project to decongest traffic in Chicago city and allow residents to commute faster and conveniently to their various destinations within the city. The second round of the project was rolled out again from mid-August to mid-December 2020. The e-scooter system has proven successful in several cities around the world, and was therefore projected to be a success in Chicago city as well. While this was a noble idea that was meant to help Chicagoans commute with ease around the city, the e-scooter projects of 2019 and 2020 have encountered several challenges and failed.
