Religion Comparison: Islam and Christianity

Christianity and Islam are the largest and second-largest religions in the world respectively. The two religions, despite having different beliefs, share the same origin. They are both monotheistic religions that trace their origins from Abraham, a major patriarch figure in both the Bible and the Quran. Abraham had two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. Christianity traces its roots from Isaac, while Islam traces its roots from Ishmael. Prophet Muhammad is a descendant of Ishmael.
