The Role of Consumer Behavior in Microeconomics

A producer exists to satisfy the needs of a consumer, therefore, without a consumer, there would not be a producer. Consumer behavior is an essential component of microeconomics because it facilitates the understanding of the role that people’s preferences and incomes play in not only influencing the demand curve but also shaping the economy.
