Letters to a Birmingham Jail

The history of humankind is characterized by disorder, unrest, and violence. Philpott (2015) pointed out that human beings have long tried to improve their living conditions and quality of life. In so doing, they evoke conflicts and disorder that affects others leading to injustice, violence, riots, and disorder. Violence and riots reflect the human struggle against injustices and discrimination against certain groups. The conflicts occur between the oppressors who possess certain privileges and the oppressed lacking access to such privileges.
