Good Hygiene Routines and Practices

There are different types of hygiene; these include, personal hygiene, home hygiene refers to the practices carried out to ensure the home and everyday surroundings are clean and pathogen-free. Food hygiene refers to the measures performed to ensure that food is free of contamination at all stages of its storage, handling, cooking and eating. Medical hygiene is the hygiene practices that are performed in a hospital setting to prevent and minimize the spread of diseases. Safe hygiene practices include hand washing, laundering,  proper garbage disposal, and bathing. At the community level, good hygiene involves implementing measures to ensure effective sanitation, good drainage, steady water supply and curbing pollution.
