Collaboration and Compliance in Patient Education

Negotiation in patient education refers to the process in which a health care provider initiates an interaction with a patient that involves exchanging information between the two parties, bargaining and agreeing on consensual decisions, and implementing the final agreement (Nager, 2020). Negotiating helps achieve treatment success as intervention measures that are understandable, achievable, acceptable, and the patient and the provider agree upon meaningful.
