Applications of Boy’s Law in Iron Lung Machine

The iron lung is a negative ventilator machine that usually mimics human chest muscles and diaphragms to improve the gas exchange. To understand how the machine works, two concepts are applied; pressure gradient is applied, which states that gases' equilibrium to be achieved gases move from high pressure areas to low pressure. Boyle's law is also applied; the gas law explains the relationship between pressure and volume.
