Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Alternative dispute resolution is the process by which people use to resolve legal problems without recourse to the court. The court has been used as a place of resolving conflicts for a long period of time. In the recent past people found out better methods of resolving minor disputes without recourse through the court. The aim of introducing ADR was to reduce the bulk of cases at the courts and to provide quick solution to conflicts. Only major conflicts are resolved through the court . ADR has been identified to have advantages and disadvantages depending on the type of conflict being resolved.
